How I First Encountered Sherlock Holmes: I checked an audiobook out of the library when I was eight or nine and remember being incredibly creeped out by “The Speckled Band” and heartbroken by the Fall, until my sister took pity on me and spoiled the fact that Holmes lived on.

Favourite Character: John Watson: Friend, biographer, and gun-toting hero

Favourite Story: The Adventure of the Copper Beeches

Favourite Adaptation: BBC Sherlock, with an honorable mention for Peter Cushing’s Hound of the Baskervilles from 1959.

One Random Fact:  I may have, in a fit of post-Reichenbach insanity, crocheted miniature versions of Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, and Jim Moriarty.
