SherlockeDCC 2015

On July 10, 2015, 500 attendees and guests rode to the top of the beautiful San Diego Public Library to SherlockeDCC for the third time. Overlooking San Diego, we danced, laughed, and partied the night away with food, drinks, a photo booth, multiple games, vendors, a raffle, and live music. Once again we, The Baker Street Babes, joined forces with Being Geek Chic, The Nerdy Girlie, and SherlockDC to bring a sold out Sherlock adventure to San Diego Comic Con.

SherlockeDCC has goodie bags for every single attendee and our raffle had contributions from amazing artists, crafters, and companies. Special shout out to Hartswood Films who gave us an alarming amount of t-shirts. Also, for stopping by!

Executive Producer Steven Moffat stopped by with Producer Sue Vertue to do a Q&A with party attendees.

Thank you so much for joining us and answering questions for so long!

sherlockedcc2015

2015 was the first year our raffle benefited two wonderful charities!

Cool Earth is an environmental charity that works in partnership with indigenous communities. The charity only protects rainforest that without intervention will be destroyed within the next 18 months.

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. The goal of CCFA is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.  CCFA consistently meets standards established by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance as well as other charity watchdog organizations.

This is partly due to the fact that two of the SherlockeDCC hosts, Baker Street Babes Curly and Sora, are doing a charity drive this summer right after SDCC. They’re driving 10,000 miles from London to Ulan Ude, Russia through Europe & Asia in a farcically small car. Their team is called The Nerdventurists, and you can find out more about their journey on their website. Their charities of choice are Cool Earth & CCFA (as Sora has Crohn’s disease), and the SherlockeDCC team agreed that having the raffle this year go towards their fundraising for these charities was a great idea.
